I got into bromeliads in 1995 while helping build exhibits at a zoo that I worked at. Since then I have left the zoo world but continue to keep bromeliads.

Kiki and I met in 2002 and she quickly realized that plants were a little more than a hobby with me, they were more of an obsession. During the winter all of my plants had to come into the house.

The problem was that we were only living in a 1000 sq ft house and the number of plants could fill that up pretty easily. If you have any doubts click here.

I built my greenhouse in 2006 with a lot of help from friends and family. I don't think it will ever be officially done. Everytime I turn around there is something else that needs to be done.
